About Sketchaphone

Sketchaphone is a free browser-based party games platform. No downloads, no accounts, no sign-ups — just open the site on any device with a browser and start playing with friends.

Create a game, share the 6-character code with your friends, and everyone joins on their own phone, tablet, or computer. It's that simple.

Our Games

Sketchaphone

Telephone meets Pictionary. One player writes a prompt, the next draws it, the next guesses what the drawing is, the next draws that guess, and so on. At the end, everyone sees the hilarious chain of misinterpretation from start to finish.

How to Play Sketchaphone

  1. Create a game on the home page and share the 6-character code with your group.
  2. Everyone joins by entering the code on their own device. The host can adjust the number of rounds (1–10).
  3. Prompt phase — all players write a secret prompt (a word, phrase, or concept). You have 60 seconds.
  4. Drawing phase — you receive someone else's prompt and have 2 minutes to draw it on the canvas. Use pen, eraser, and three brush sizes. You can undo mistakes.
  5. Guessing phase — you see someone else's drawing and type your best guess at what it depicts.
  6. Phases continue alternating between drawing and guessing, with each player's chain passing to the next person.
  7. Results — at the end, everyone views the full chain: original prompt → drawing → guess → drawing → guess. The funnier the misinterpretation, the better.

Sketchagories

A word game for groups. Each round gives you a random letter and five categories. Come up with answers that start with that letter, then review everyone else's submissions to score points.

How to Play Sketchagories

  1. Create a Sketchagories game on the home page and share the code with your group.
  2. Answer phase — a random letter is chosen and five categories are revealed (e.g. "Animal", "Famous Person", "Movie"). Type an answer for each category that starts with the given letter. You have 60 seconds.
  3. Review phase — everyone's answers are revealed one category at a time. You can:
    • Flag an answer you think is invalid or doesn't fit the category.
    • Creative vote an answer you think is especially clever or creative.
  4. Scoring — you score 1 point for a unique answer (one nobody else wrote). Duplicate answers and flagged answers score 0. A creative vote adds a bonus point on top.
  5. Play multiple rounds (1–5), then see the final scoreboard.
